Changes to the Mole St. Nicolas sewing program

We wanted to take a few minutes to update you on some changes we're making to the Mole St. Nicolas sewing program to better serve the students in this region.

After much prayer and consideration, we've decided to put this program on-hold with the hopes of re-starting it in Mid-September. Our students were able to learn how to make some beautiful skirts, dresses, and purses. But unfortunately, we need to find another teacher who can teach the intermediate and advanced concepts that our program needs. We sincerely appreciate what Professor Jean was able to accomplish over the last two years, and we are forever grateful for her hard work.

Since there are very few sewing teachers in the Mole St. Nicolas area, we are searching for a teacher in Port-de-Paix, and other surrounding areas, who may be interested in relocating to the Mole. Assuming we find a teacher, we plan to start a new class in Mid-September. Our ultimate goal is to give students in this program the same opportunity and quality education as the students who attend our Port-de-Paix sewing program.

Also, even though the class is not formally meeting, the students are still able to use the sewing room and supplies to work on personal projects. So they're able to have their own sewing club in the meantime.

We know the future of the program rests firmly in God's hands, and we are confident that He will work everything out as it should. As we wait to see how things unfold, will you join us in praying for a new teacher for this program?

As always, thank you for your continued support!

We love personal fundraisers
