They're All Smiles

Port-de-Paix sewing class

The Port-de-Paix sewing class, pictured here, has a lot to smile about. They just made their first dresses!

In addition to these beautiful dresses, they've also been learning how to make a variety of skirts. The students are doing a fantastic job of learning how to sew.

Teaching the Next Generation

Professor Michel, pictured above on the right in the yellow shirt, has taught the Port-de-Paix sewing classes since the ministry started in 2015.

She passed her sewing and teaching skills onto her student Johnson, who now leads the Mole St. Nicolas adult sewing classes. He, in turn, passed on his skills to his student Kendy, who today teaches the new Mole St. Nicolas teenagers sewing class.

Haitians helping Haitians. This is what the ministry is all about.

Thank you for continuing to support and empower our students. You are changing lives in Haiti.

Sponsor a Student

We have many students, like Wilensky, who need sponsors.

Sponsorship is $30/month. Monthly and one-time sponsorships are available.

Thank you for your consideration!

Let the sewing begin

Classes are back in session, and the students are learning the fundamentals of sewing. Here's some photos of the Mole St. Nicolas students learning how to sew with paper. They start with paper first before moving to fabric.

Please leave some encouraging words for the new students.

Learning how to make vests

The Port-de-Paix and Mole St. Nicolas sewing students have been busy this spring learning how to make vests. Guerby, pictured below, is a student in the Port-de-Paix sewing program and he took the assignment a step further and made a pair of matching pants. We love the students' enthusiasm and creativity.

Thank you again for your continued support of the sewing students! Your support equips these students with a practical skill that they can use and enjoy for the rest of their lives.
